Safeguarding

Safeguarding

We recognize our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children. We make every effort to provide a safe and welcoming environment underpinned by a culture of openness where both children and adults feel secure, able to talk and believe that they are being listened to.

We maintain an attitude of “it could happen here” where safeguarding is concerned. The school designated safeguarding leads (DSL) are Debby Gooderham and Megan Burden. There are 2 deputy designated safeguarding leads (DDSL) who will act in the absence of the DSLs. They are Nicola Smith and Jo Whaites.

If at any time you have a concern about a child or young person, particularly if you think they may be at risk of abuse or neglect, please contact the DSL or a DDSL in school to share this.

Overview of safeguarding Measures

The policies included in this section are in place to provide staff, volunteers and governors with the framework they need in order to keep children safe and secure in our school, and they also inform parents and guardians how we will safeguard their children whilst they are in our care.
