Safeguarding
Safeguarding
We recognise that our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children.
WE make every effort to provide a safe and welcoming environment underpinned by a culture of openness where both children and adults feel secure, able to talk and believe that they are being listened to.
We maintain an attititude of “it could happen here” where safeguarding is concerned. The school Designated Safeguard Lead (DSL) is Debby Gooderham and there are 3 deputy designated safeguarding leads (DDSL) who will act in the absence of the DSL. They are Megan Burden, Nicola Smith and Ed Potterton.
If at any time you have a concern about a child or young person, particularly if you think they may be at risk of abuse or neglect, please contact the DSL or a DDSL in school to share this. Alternatively Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm you can contact social services on 0300 555 1384. Outside of these hours please call 0300 555 1373.
The policies that we have included here are to provide staff, volunteers and governors with the framework that they need in order to keep children safe and secure in our school as well as informing parents and guardians how we will safeguard their children whilst they are in our care.
